NFL Week 8 Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2024)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper's latest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We'll break down our top three picks for this week's NFL action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular all-season fantasy platforms and is expanding into other areas depending on demand. Each week in this space we will discuss strategy for the new platform while also introducing our favorite NFL more/less picks.

NFL Week 8 Sleeper Picks

2024 season record: 14-7

Derrick Henry (RB – BAL): 74.5 rushing yards (alt line)

King Henry continues to roll for the Baltimore Ravens. He has shown incredible pace through seven games, turning an already indispensable Ravens team into a schedule television team. The Warhorse has racked up 743 rushing yards in his last five games alone, averaging 148.6. For comparison, that's more rushing yards than 12 different NFL teams have all season. The total here is a solid 96.5, which Henry will most likely beat anyway, but this is about sacrificing a multiplier for the vastly improved odds of the 74.5 number he can hit in one half. Malik Nabers (WR – NYG): 65.5 yards

Sam LaPorta is the way to go if you want an All-Sunday ticket at 35.5, as he should easily top Jameson Williams' suspended 36 receiving yards. However, Malik Nabers will be featured in this column throughout the season. Nabers had a slight disappointment in terms of production in Week 7, but should achieve something closer to his normal target volume in Week 8. The Giants won't be very good on offense this season, but the short game is clicking and is an area where Nabers thrives. The alt line of 49.5 is extremely tempting and should be the route taken by those who are more risk averse, especially with the Steelers on deck, but those who want a little more strength in their multiplier will stick with 65, 5. Nabers recorded 78 or more yards in three straight games before returning from the concussion in Week 7. Expect the Target Hog to roll on Monday night. Davante Adams (WR – NYG): 58.5 receiving yards

Adams had a disappointing start to his tenure with the Jets, but it wasn't for a lack of goals. Look for Adams to have more variance in his lineup now that he's delving deeper into the current version of the playbook. Davante saw nine targets in Week 7 and could get even more this week if he gets off to an early start as expected. This isn't the Davante show and won't be, as Garrett Wilson remains a highly talented receiver, but replacing Adams should be priority number two right after he leaves New England with a win. If Adams comes close to his sleeper picks-receptions total of 5.5, he will easily surpass 59 receiving yards against the Patriots. Learn more about Davante for Week 8.

Authors' Note: The rows on Sleeper are constantly changing, so there is a high chance that one or all of the numbers will no longer be the same when you open your app. The values are excellent when first released, the only catch is that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
