Man injured in Bronx subway surfing incident, expected to recover

A man who was hit while subway surfing in the Bronx Thursday morning is expected to recover, authorities said.

Police found the 20-year-old at the East 180th Street station shortly before 8:30 a.m

They say he fell between two other cars from a No. 5 train bound for Manhattan. He was hospitalized in stable condition.

The incident came less than 24 hours after a 13-year-old died while subway surfing in Queens.
