Watch: Rui Hachimura posts Rudy Gobert

The Los Angeles Lakers got off to a solid start in the opening minutes of their regular season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Their offense featured more ball and player movement than last season, and they were active on defense, which earned them several early transition opportunities.

One man who could play a larger role in new head coach JJ Redick's offense this year is Rui Hachimura. Early in the first quarter, the forward took the basketball over the 3-point line against standout defender Anthony Edwards and drove past Edwards for a big dunk against reigning Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert.

Gobert has won the Defensive Player of the Year award four times in the last seven seasons, so it's not exactly easy to watch his face. But Hachimura has deceptive athleticism and he has the ability to finish strong at the rim when he creates opportunities to get to the basket.
