Bengaluru's Viral 'Waterfall' Near Manyata Tech Park After Heavy Rain Now on Google Maps: 'Amazing Sights' | Bengaluru

There is never a dull moment for Bengaluru's internet space as an anonymous person has created a Google tourist attraction in the city titled 'Manyata Waterfalls'. A video recently went viral on social media during the recent massive rain in the city that resulted in waterlogging at Manyata Tech Park. Initially, it was speculated that the video, which features a waterfall-like scene, was from Manyata Tech Park.

Meanwhile, Embassy REIT, which operates Manyata Techpark, clarified that the viral waterfall video was not from the techpark premises. The real estate giant issued a clarification last week, saying: “Some videos/posts circulating on social media are not from Embassy REIT or Embassy Manyata properties.”

The video is said to be from an adjacent property at the 300-acre technology park that recently made headlines.

This is not the first time

However, this is not the first time that Bengaluru has faced such internet sarcasm. Last year, the Ejipura flyover created a viral sensation after it was marked as a must-visit monument in Google locations, a sarcastic remark that the government had turned a blind eye to the unfinished project.

The unfinished flyover was named 'Bengaluru's Stonehenge', which looked like 'Stonehenge', a popular tourist destination in Britain. Even there were reviews and one of them said, “These monuments are an epitome of tourism in the busiest part of Bangalore.” Must visit! Please be prepared for the large, loving crowds who have all come here to witness the magnificence of the beautiful structures.” It was later deleted.

Bengaluru's potholes have made it to Google locations before, with funny reviews like “I visited in the late hours of the night.” It slowed me down and asked me to tell a story. It was a frightening experience. It wouldn't let me go until I finished a story about it. Story of a corrupt government that had all the resources but deprived the public of basic necessities.”
