Kansas teen sentenced to prison for road rage killing

A Kansas teenager has been sentenced to nearly 27 years in prison for a fatal traffic accident that killed a 69-year-old grandmother.

On Thursday, Judge Jeff Goering sentenced 20-year-old Daryon Boone for the September 2023 shooting death of Norma Williams. Boone previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

The incident occurred on September 1, 2023, when a group of motorcyclists, including Boone, ran a red light and collided with a vehicle driven by Williams. After the collision, Boone pursued the vehicle and opened fire, fatally wounding Williams.
