National Prescription Drug TAKE BACK Day

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will offer the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by rid their homes of potentially dangerous substances, expired, unused and unwanted prescription medications.

Needles and sharp objects cannot be accepted; Only pills, patches and liquids sealed in the original container will be accepted. Vape pens or other consumer e-cigarette devices will only be accepted after the batteries have been removed from the devices.

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Drop off your pills for disposal at the following locations.
