SpartanNash Foundation Launches Fundraiser to Fight Hunger in Local Communities

The company is seeking an increase $300,000 to support food pantries in nine states

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich, Oct 25, 2024 /PRNewswire/ – Food solutions company Spartan Nash® (the “Company”) (Nasdaq: SPTN) has launched its eighth annual fundraising campaign this holiday season to support local food pantries throughout the Midwest. The campaign runs until November 3rd and aims to raise money $300,000with 100% of donations stay in the communities where they are collected.

Shop guests can contribute by making a donation $0.50, $1, $5 or $10 at checkout at SpartanNash-operated stores, including Quick Stop convenience stores, or online at shopfamilyfare.com. These donations go directly to food pantries Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota And Wisconsin.

In 2023, SpartanNash and its store guests rose above $300,000 to help local food pantries provide critical resources to their communities. Since its inception, the annual fundraiser has raised more than 2 million dollars. As food insecurity affects more than 13% from US Households in 2023, according to the USDAThis year’s support is more important than ever.
