Lil Durk was arrested in Florida for an alleged murder plot

Lil Durk has been arrested for his role in an alleged murder plot. Accordingly CBSChicagoThe rapper, born Devontay Durk Banks, was arrested in Broward County in Miami on Thursday evening (October 25).

The outlet states that Banks' detention came days after members of his OTF crew were charged as “co-conspirators in a murder plot in Los Angeles, California.” It is currently unclear whether Banks' arrest is related to the same case involving his OTF camp.

However, investigators familiar with Durk's case claim that his murder-for-hire connection was retaliation for the death of King Von, a close friend of the rapper. As of Friday (October 25), no further information regarding Lil Durk's arrest has been released.

As for the arrested OTF members, they are Chicago Tribune reports that three of them – Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson and Asa Houston – were indicted by a grand jury. Meanwhile, two other men, Keith Jones and David Brian Lindsey, have been charged in the case.

Documents unsealed in the case revealed that a high-ranking member of Only the Family got into a fight with someone at an Atlanta nightclub on November 6, 2020. As the fight escalated, the men fighting the OTF member pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times, killing him.

While his name has been redacted, fans know that King Von, real name Dayvon Daquan Bennett, also known as King Von, was shot and killed on November 6, 2020. The unsealed documents allege that another member of the OTF, listed as “Co-Conspirator 1,” “made it clear in coded language” that they would offer “a bounty or bounty to anyone who participated in the killing” of King Von's assassin “would pay a cash bonus”.

“The charging documents state that the five and their co-conspirators used “facilities of interstate and foreign commerce,” such as airplanes, automobiles, cell phones and the Internet, “with the intent to murder [King Von’s killer] be committed,'” the indictment says.
