Matthew Perry's mother recalls an ominous conversation with the actor before his death

Three days before On the anniversary of Matthew Perry's death on October 28, 2023, the actor's mother recalled in a new interview a threatening conversation she had with her son shortly before his death at the age of 54.

In an excerpt from the Today In the series' interview with Perry's family, his mother Suzanne Morrison spoke about her ominous feeling after speaking to the actor days before his death.

“He went through a period, interestingly enough, right before he died, where he showed me one of his new houses,” Morrison told Today's Savannah Guthrie. “He came up to me and said, 'I love you so much and I'm so happy to be with you now.' It was almost like it was a premonition or something. I didn't think about it at the time, but I thought, 'How long has it been since we last had a conversation like this?' It's been years.'”

Morrison continued: “I think there was something there. What was going to happen next to him was inevitable and he felt it very strongly. But he said, ‘I’m not afraid anymore.’ And it worried me.”

The family's full interview with Today The show will air next week.
