Jimmy John's Picklewich Debut With Pickles Instead of Bread – NBC Chicago

First there was bread. Then came the lettuce wraps and tortillas. Now: Meet the Picklewich.

According to a press release, Jimmy John's new Picklewich — a sub sandwich, of course, that uses pickles instead of bread — will be available at participating restaurants nationwide starting Monday, October 28th.

“This innovation offers all the flavors of a classic Jimmy John's sandwich, but with a twist,” the press release states. “A giant kosher dill pickle replaces the bread and provides a moist, crunchy and satisfying bite.”

The Picklewich comes in two varieties, with a pickle replacing the bread on two of Jimmy John's classic sandwiches: The Vito Picklewich with salami, capocollo, provolone cheese, oil and vinegar; and a turkey picklewich with prime turkey, provolone and sliced tomatoes.

According to the press release, Jimmy John's is also bringing back the fan-favorite Pickle Jimmy Chips.

The PIcklewich will be available at participating Jimmy John's nationwide from October 28th through Thursday, November 14th while supplies last.
