Tom Holland went viral this week for defending his girlfriend Zendaya to photographers in NYC.

The 28-year-old Spider-Man star, who posed with his 28-year-old actress love in matching ensembles at the launch of his event on Thursday, showed off his chivalrous side as he kept Zendaya close behind him as they aimed for a wall Paparazzi kicked.

The British star held her hand and placed a protective hand on her back. He said: “Guys, watch out!” as the couple tried to get to a car.

Then he said, “Give us a little space” before they drove off.”

The star was also seen declaring: “Get out of the damn way” as he helped Zendaya – who was swarmed by fans and paparazzi – taking her hand and leading her into the event earlier in the evening.

The couple made a rare public appearance at a party promoting Holland's new non-alcoholic beer BERO.

The couple's stylish appearance on Thursday follows Tom's announcement that he will reprise his role as Spider-Man in the fourth film, although he left fans guessing about Zendaya's return.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Tom revealed that filming for the highly anticipated fourth Spider-Man installment is set to begin in the summer of 2025, adding that everything is “ready to go.”

However, he let fans down by not confirming whether Zendaya would be reprising her role as MJ.

The duo's chemistry first sparked on set while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, and fans are eagerly hoping to see their beloved characters reunite once again.

At the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, Tom made some rare comments about his and Zendaya's personal lives and how they are revisiting the film.

Speaking to Extra, Tom said: “Zendaya and I will watch Spider-Man 1 every now and then and remember being 19 and making those movies again.”

“I love these films and I love savoring these moments, so I try not to watch them as often as I might like because they are so special.” It's such a luxury, such a gift to sit down and to relive his youth, so to speak.”

He also revealed that the Euphoria actress supported him in his career, explaining that she often watched his series “The Crowded Room” and gave him feedback.

He and Zendaya finally announced their relationship in 2021, but it is believed that they started dating as early as 2017.

As for the delay of Zendaya's Euphoria season 3, series creator, writer and director Sam Levinson was busy filming his series The Idol for much of 2022, which stars The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp played leading roles.

It was only in January of this year that HBO and Max Content CEO Casey Bloys confirmed to Deadline that Levinson had begun writing scripts for the third season of Euphoria.

The new season is expected to start in 2025.
