Maine helicopter crew helps fight deadly wildfires in Connecticut

BERLIN, CT (WGME) – A firefighter is dead as crews continue to battle a brush fire in Berlin, Connecticut that started on Monday.

Connecticut's governor says he has called in the National Guard and a crew from Maine who can use helicopters to drop water to contain the fire.

The firefighter died when the commercial vehicle he was in overturned. Two others were injured but will be fine.

Firefighters continue to fight the 90-hectare fire.

It is currently unclear how the fire started.
