Grayson Allen is out of the Lakers-Suns game, Bradley Beal is available

play

LOS ANGELES – Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen will miss Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers for personal reasons.

He and his wife Morgan are expecting their first child.

Allen was on the team for the morning shootaround at UCLA, but he's back in Phoenix. He played in Wednesday's season opener with the Los Angeles Clippers after missing the last four preseason games.

Allen battled a sore right Achilles tendon and scored eight points in 21 minutes in a 116-113 overtime win over the Clippers on Wednesday.

Suns coach Mike Budenholzer said rookie forward Ryan Dunn and veteran point guard Monte Morris will get more minutes Friday in Allen's absence.

Bradley Beal will play after he was diagnosed with probable right shoulder pain following a bad fall against the Clippers. He finished Wednesday with 24 points, seven of which came in overtime.

Josh Okogie remains out with a right hamstring strain.
