Stevie Nicks pitched an idea for the second season of Daisy Jones & The Six.

Stevie Nicks didn't really want to watch Prime Videos Daisy Jones and the Sixbut after watching and liking the series (based on the novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid and loosely based on her romance with fellow Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham), she has some ideas of her own to contribute to the second season .

“I didn't even want to watch it because I thought I would hate it so much,” the Grammy winner said Rolling Stone in a recent interview. “I had COVID when I saw it. I was in my apartment in Los Angeles and I remember asking, 'Am I just watching my life pass me by?'”

She continued, “Riley [Keough] doesn't look like me. She's a lot snappier than me. I couldn't be as snappy as she was in Fleetwood Mac. Christine [McVie] and I couldn't do that because we were the peacemakers. [Keough] could be totally shitty and a smartass and totally arrogant because she wasn't even in the band and they weren't even nice to her. So that was the biggest difference. But as far as her personality goes, he was very similar to me. And I wanted to call her right away and meet her, and I did.”

The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer concluded: “I thought, Suki [Waterhouse] was a great Christine – in her English language and just in the way she dressed. And you know what I was really sad about? That Christine didn't see that because she would have been so tickled by her. And I thought Billy [played by Sam Claflin] was spectacular. I thought he captured so much of Lindsey that it was scary. He had the curls and dark beauty that Lindsey had. One of my favorites was Camila [Morrone]. I thought Camila and Daisy would be a really good combination for me, they put it together.”

When asked about wrapping up the musical drama's first season, Nicks brought up an idea that she said executive producer Reese Witherspoon and star Keough were excited about.

“I wish it could address what if…Billy had come back after Billy's wife died and knocked on her door and they decided to make the last record that I always hoped Lindsey and I would make they would do. That would be a fantastic second season. I talked to Reese and Riley about it and they liked the idea, but everyone is so busy. Riley is on her way to becoming a big movie star. But maybe they'll get there one day. Until I saw it Daisy Jones and the SixI never thought it would even be possible to replicate our lives.”

Announced as a limited series for the 75th Primetime Emmys in January, Daisy Jones and the Six scored nine nominations and won two of its categories in Period Costumes and Sound Mixing for a Limited Series or Anthology Series or Film. While showrunner and co-creator Scott Neustadter has been open to continuing the story, Keough previously told Deadline that it was unlikely: “It was such a wonderful experience.” I think we would all love to work together again in some capacity. I don't know how much leeway they left for it, but I would definitely work with everyone on the show again.” There are currently no plans for a second installment.

Elsewhere in Nicks' profile post, the singer-songwriter admitted that she saw it Daisy Jones and the Sixshe has never seen or heard of another fictional retelling of Mac's story, the popular Broadway play Stereophonic.
