Vermont man who fired gun on New York Thruway faces drug and gun possession charges

Warners, NY – A Vermont man who fired a gun from his vehicle on the New York Thruway early Thursday morning also had “magic mushrooms” and cocaine in his truck, according to New York State Troopers.

Christopher Flynn, 28, of Bridgewater, Vermont, admitted to authorities that he fired a gun from his truck because he thought someone was chasing him, cops said.

At about 12:10 p.m., an unoccupied 2020 Toyota Tacoma truck with Vermont plates was found parked on the east side of the Thruway, also called Interstate 90, troopers said. Bullet holes as well as a pistol and a revolver were visible on the passenger seat of the vehicle.
