5-year-old dies after rollover crash on US 60 near Power Road

MESA, AZ – A 5-year-old boy died Friday after a rollover crash on US 60 near Power Road.

Officials said officers responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. after passersby found a woman and three children trapped in a vehicle following a single-vehicle rollover.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, all people had to be extricated from the vehicle and taken to a hospital with injuries of varying degrees of severity. A 5-year-old boy died in a hospital.

The condition of the other children and the woman is not yet known.

It is not known what caused the crash.
