The DEA will coordinate with state and local law enforcement agencies. The aim of the take-back day is also to bring the issue of drug abuse into focus nationwide.

“The program provides an opportunity for law enforcement, prevention, treatment and business communities to work together and establish a safe collection point for all Americans, regardless of where they live,” the release said.
