Greg Schiano can't let a Rutgers collapse derail his program's progress | Politi

LOS ANGELES – In a city built on star power, Rutgers was a top attraction in its first trip to Hollywood for a Big Ten game. Even the fans in the quarter-packed LA Coliseum were glued to their cell phones for most of the first quarter, watching the thrilling end of Game 1 of the World Series six miles up the traffic-free highways at Dodger Stadium.

There, LA star Freddie Freeman stunned the Yankees with a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning. Here, a few hours later, the California team wouldn't need such drama to beat these (lowercase) Yankees. Southern Cal was just better than the Scarlet Knights, scoring a touchdown on all four possessions in the first half until the Trojans' iconic fight song felt like it was playing on a loop.
