2 dead, 2 injured in 3 separate incidents overnight in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people died and two others were injured in three separate overnight incidents in Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The first incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday on Osteen Street, near Lambing Road, in the Jacksonville Heights neighborhood.

According to JSO, officers found a woman and a man dead inside a home.

Police did not say how the victims died.

The relationships of those involved are unknown, according to JSO.

The second incident was a shooting that occurred on Herlong Road, near Lindsey Road, in the Normandy Manor neighborhood around 9 p.m.

According to police, the man who was shot drove himself to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound before officers arrived.

Initial investigations revealed that the man was walking in the area when he was shot by an unknown suspect.

Police said the man appeared to have been targeted and that this was an isolated incident.

The third incident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday on Harts Road in north Jacksonville.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his late 20s suffering from a single gunshot wound. According to JSO, he was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Initial investigations revealed that several people arrived at the scene and shot several times in the direction of the man, police said.

According to police, no arrests were made in any of the three incidents.
