One person has died in a multi-vehicle crash in Colerain Township, police said

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — One person is dead in a multi-vehicle crash in Colerain Township early Saturday morning, according to Colerain Township police.

Officers said they were called to Interstate 275 near the I-74 exit around 12:20 p.m. and discovered three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Three people may have been taken to area hospitals, police said.

According to officials, one person was taken to UC Medical Center but died from their injuries.

Police cannot confirm whether next of kin have been notified.

It is unclear whether drugs, alcohol or excessive speed played a role in the accident.

The accident is still under investigation.
