Dealing with heart murmurs during physical exams

Gianluca Bini, DVM, MRCVS, DACVAA, discussed how to handle heart patients who were under anesthesia and what veterinarians should do if they hear a heart murmur with attendees at the 2024 Fetch dvm360 conference in Kansas City, Missouri. In this interview, Bini explains what steps veterinary professionals should take if they hear a heart murmur during their patient's physical exam, and what teams can do if they don't have access to certain equipment when treating such a patient.

Caring for patients with heart disease
