No. 12 Notre Dame got off to a good start against No. 24 Navy on Saturday at MetLife Stadium, thanks once again to the legs of quarterback Riley Leonard.

Leonard capped a nine-play, 75-yard opening drive with 4:32 left with a 1-yard touchdown run.

The biggest play on the drive was a lightning-quick 42-yard throw to wide receiver Jaden Greathouse on third-and-6.

That kept the drive alive and put Notre Dame in the red zone. Four plays later, Leonard found the end zone on a quarterback run.

Notre Dame has started slowly of late, but this opening attack was balanced, and with the exception of one tackle that resulted in a loss, the Irish moved the ball effectively.
