Anchoring an epic series of shows on CBS, FBI has been one of the network's most enduring hits and has already been renewed for an 8th season. Created by TV experts Dick Wolf and Craig Turk, FBI follows special agents from the New York City Field Office's Criminal Division as they tackle some of the biggest cases the Big Apple throws at them. As with most police procedurals FBI relies heavily on a case-a-week format, but never misses an opportunity to explore the personal lives of the large ensemble cast.




Like most Dick Wolf TV shows FBI had immediate spin-off potential and the franchise expanded FBI: Most Wanted And FBI: International. Despite its enormous success, the flagship series is still the true heart of the series and has received special attention from CBS. While everyone else FBI The series are renewed annually, with the main series receiving a three-year order from CBS in 2024. This takes some of the excitement out of the future of the popular police procedural and Special Agents FBI will return not only for Season 8 but also for Season 9.

Unlike many other network shows that find themselves in the hot seat every year, CBS has settled the question FBI's future in early 2024. A three-season order is extremely rare, but given the overwhelming popularity of Dick Wolf's shows, it's really no surprise. The legendary TV creator rarely misses his mark and has achieved great success, especially in police investigations. The way it looks now the fate of FBI Beyond Season 9 is still unclear, but there is little doubt that the network will order at least one more season once the three-season order has expired. Although the other series in the franchise are less certain, FBI stands on a stable foundation that, like Wolf's, could last for decades law and order.

Which agents will return for Season 8?


As with most long-running procedurals, the cast of FBI has changed a few times in the nearly ten years it has been on the air. There were even a few changes up until the seventh season, and This could suggest that Season 8 will be a bit more stable in terms of cast changes. However, it's impossible to know exactly who will return for Season 8, and it must be assumed that everyone will return until more information becomes available. Katherine Renee Kane will be leaving the series during season seven and will not be present in season eight to reprise her role as Special Agent Tiffany Wallace.

On the other hand, It is expected that stars like Missy Peregrym will be back in season 8 as Special Agent Maggie Bell, alongside Jeremy Sisto as Assistant SAC Jubal Valentine. The rest of the NYC Field Office team is also expected to join, including new addition Lisette Olivera as BAU agent Syd Ortiz, who was cast as Wallace's replacement in Season 7. Guest stars also appear throughout the season, but it's impossible to guess who they will be at this early stage.

It is difficult to predict exactly what will happen FBI Season 8 for several reasons. First, all overarching storylines are established by the Season 7 finale and are therefore unpredictable until the end of the season. Secondly, the case-per-week format means that most episodes have no connection to others and are usually standalone.
