Penn State QB Drew Allar leaves the game after getting injured late in the first half

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Penn State quarterback Drew Allar did not start the second half of the Nittany Lions' third-ranked game against Wisconsin on Saturday after he was injured late in the second quarter.

Allar had gone to the locker room ahead of the rest of his teammates in the final minute of the first half. When he was sacked in the second quarter of Penn State's final series, he had fallen awkwardly to the ground.

He returned in the second half with a brace on his left knee but remained on the sideline while backup Beau Pribula led Penn State's offense on the first drive of the third quarter.

Allar had gone 14 of 18 for 148 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the first half that ended with Penn State trailing 10-7.
