Tee Higgins Injury Update: The Bengals WR is trending towards being out against the Eagles

The Cincinnati Bengals' star receivers have been in the headlines this year for several reasons. Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase were both in ongoing contract discussions and also had strong performances on the field.

Higgins has struggled with numerous injuries over the past few seasons that have kept him sidelined for several weeks, and those could continue to sideline him in a key Week 8 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The Bengals, who started the season 0-3, have battled back to 3-4 and now have a chance to hit .500 for the first time since the start of 2024. However, they may have to be without Higgins, who posted a .500 score due to a quad injury in practice this week.

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, there is “pessimism” about whether or not the star receiver will take the field on Sunday.

Higgins has been a key weapon for Burrow this season. He has thrown for 60 or more yards in four of the five games he has played in and has also thrown at least six balls in three of those five games.

With three touchdowns this season, Higgins was also a threat in the red zone, especially considering his 6-foot-10 frame.

If Higgins misses, the Bengals will likely use players like Charlie Jones and Andrei Iosivas. But it's difficult to replace the production you get with a weapon like Higgins.

We'll see how this plays out when we look at Sunday morning's inactivity report.
