NFL Injury Report Week 8: Bengals' Tee Higgins surprisingly listed as injured; Tyreek Hill is expected to play

The final injury reports come for Week 8 as the halfway point of the season approaches. The Cincinnati Bengals got a surprise when Tee Higgins suffered a quadriceps injury on Friday, affecting his chances of playing on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins will bring back Tua Tagovailoa as he clears concussion protocol, while the Washington Commanders will determine the status of Jayden Daniels before kickoff.

The Dallas Cowboys also won't be able to get Micah Parsons out of her bye this week.

Below is each team's notable injury news from Friday's final practice reports. Be sure to keep checking this page as we will update it.

The Eagles will be without Becton this week and Goedert for the second week in a row. Tyler Steen will start at right guard and Grant Calcaterra will start at tight end. Young was placed on injured reserve shortly after the injury report was released.

A surprise for the Bengals, as Higgins was limited in practice on Friday after not being on the injury report all week. His status is uncertain for Sunday. Andrei Iosivas is the leading candidate to replace Higgins. Tackle Orlando Brown (knee) and safety Geno Stone (shin) did not receive an injury report.

The Ravens had Flowers practice in a limited capacity on Friday, so he will be eligible for game time on Sunday. Mitchell won't cover Derrick Henry this week, but he's close to returning soon. On Saturday, Baltimore announced that cornerback Nate Wiggins would not travel with the team to Cleveland, but that remains in question.

Teller was a full player for the Browns and has since been placed on injured reserve.

The Lions enter Sunday relatively healthy as many of their offensive players had rest days earlier in the week.

For the Titans, Levis' status is uncertain for the second week in a row. If Levis can't go, Mason Rudolph will start for the second straight year. Baker, who was traded to Tennessee this week, was downgraded to out along with running back Tyjae Spears.

The Colts will have running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) available for Sunday's game because he has not been placed on an injury report. Wide receiver Michael Pittman (back) did not receive an injury report. The team also activated star pass rusher DeForest Buckner and linebacker Cameron McGrone from injured reserve, signaling they will play on Sunday.

The Texans will not face Al-Shair again this week and enter Week 8 relatively healthy.

The Packers won't have Myers as their starting center on Sunday, so Jacob Monk would be the candidate to start. Rookie Edgerrin Cooper would start at linebacker if Walker doesn't comply with concussion protocol. Wide receiver Christian Watson (ankle) did not receive an injury report.

With the Jaguars, Etienne had limited practice all week. It will be a game-time decision on Sunday. If Etienne can't go, Tank Bigsby would start. Meanwhile, offensive lineman Cam Robinson has cleared concussion protocol and no longer has a game date, indicating he will play. The Jaguars also activated linebacker Foye Oluokon from injured reserve.

Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. appeared on the injury report with a knee injury but does not have an injury report for Sunday.

Tagovailoa has passed the concussion protocol and is expected to play Sunday against the Cardinals. Hill did not practice Friday after being limited Thursday with his foot injury, so his status for Sunday is uncertain, but head coach Mike McDaniel is optimistic and Hill is expected to play.

  • Jets: S Ashtyn Davis (concussion), DL Leki Fotu (knee), G Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle), TE Kenny Yeboah (abdomen), S Tony Adams (hamstring) OUT; WR Allen Lazard (chest) doubtful; OL Morgan Moses (knee) QUESTIONABLE
  • Patriots: WR Ja'Lynn Polk (concussion), G Layden Robinson (ankle) out; OT Vederian Lowe (ankle), DE Keion White (ankle), CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder/personal), G Mike Jordan (ankle), G Sidy Sow (ankle), LB Sione Takitaki (knee), DE Daniel Ekuale (abdomen) , MLB Raekwon McMillan (back), S Kyle Dugger (ankle) QUESTIONABLE

The Jets won't have to face Vera-Tucker on Sunday as the offense may lose two offensive linemen pending the status of Moses – who has been limited all week. The team also downgraded Kenny Yeboah and Tony Adams to out on Saturday.

The Patriots have a lengthy injury report, but the most notable player on it is Jones — who did not practice on Friday despite his questionable appointment. Meanwhile, the team added Kyle Dugger to the safety report on Saturday, listing him as questionable with an ankle injury.

It doesn't look like the Falcons will have Simmons this Sunday after he was demoted from a limited practice participant to a non-participant on Friday. Atlanta comes into this game relatively healthy.

The Buccaneers will be without both Evans and Chris Godwin, who was placed on injured reserve. Trey Palmer and Jalen McMillan are the top options.

The good news for the Saints is that wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion) has cleared protocol and will play on Sunday. Tight end Taysom Hill (rib) also did not receive an injury report.

For the Chargers, Bosa and Chark were limited Friday. In both cases, decisions are made during the game, just like McConkey.

The Bills will not be without Bernard on Sunday, but will be without tight end Dalton Kincaid (collarbone), cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm) and safety Damar Hamlin (ankle). All were full participants in Friday's training.

The Seahawks probably won't have Metcalf on Sunday, but it's not out of the question for him to play. Metcalf hasn't practiced all week, but the Seahawks will determine his status later this weekend. Fant could also return at right tackle this week and cornerback Riq Woolen (ankle) will play Sunday after missing the last two games.

  • Panthers: WR Diontae Johnson (rib), RB Jonathon Brooks (knee), S Jordan Fuller (hamstring), WR Adam Thielen (hamstring), LB DJ Wonnum (quad), S Jammie Robinson (knee) OUT; QB Andy Dalton (thumb), CB Dane Jackson (hamstring), DOUBTFUL; DE A'Shawn Robinson (knee), LB Claudin Cherelus (hamstring), LB Josey Jewell (groin), T Taylor Moton (elbow), T Yosh Nijman (knee), TE Tommy Tremble (back), OLB Jadeveon Clowney (shoulder) , DT Jaden Crumedy (ankle), S Sam Franklin Jr. (foot) QUESTIONABLE
  • Broncos: S PJ Locke (thumb) doubtful; T Alex Palczewski (ankle) QUESTIONABLE

The Panthers have the longest injury report in the NFL this week. With Dalton's injury, Bryce Young is leaning toward starting at quarterback this week. Young will not have Johnson or Thielen as his top targets. Brooks also likely won't play this week. On Saturday, Carolina placed safety Nick Scott on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. The team also elevated quarterback Jack Plummer and corner Caleb Farley while demoting running back Jonathon Brooks to out.

The Broncos are heading into this week relatively healthy.

The Chiefs are relatively healthy at several positions entering Sunday, although they are thin at wide receiver with Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown out. Add Smith cobbler to the mix for this week. DeAndre Hopkins is expected to make his debut with the team this week.

The Raiders will have Meyers back this week as he fully participated in Friday's practice despite his questionable injury status. Pass rusher Maxx Crosby (ankle) is also back as he has not been placed on an injury report.

The Bears will be a few players behind in the secondary on Sunday as Brisker was unable to complete concussion protocol and Gordon will also be out. All three players in question are on injured reserve or scheduled to return and were full participants in Friday's practice.

Daniels was limited at practice for the Commanders on Friday as he will try out on Sunday. Commanders will see how he progresses in the walkthrough on Saturday and over the weekend. Marcus Mariota will start if Daniels can't go.

  • Cowboys: CB DaRon Bland (foot), DE Micah Parsons (ankle), DT Jordan Phillips (wrist), TE John Stephens (knee) OUT; LB Nick Vigil (foot), CB Caelen Carson (shoulder), LB Eric Kendricks (shoulder) QUESTIONABLE
  • 49ers: DT Kevin Givens (groin), WR Jauan Jennings (hip), K Jake Moody (ankle) OUT; TE George Kittle (foot), S George Odum, CB Deommodore Lenoir (illness), WR Deebo Samuel (wrist, illness) QUESTIONABLE

There is no Parsons for the Cowboys this week as Dallas will be without its top pass rusher for the bye week. The Cowboys had a run on Friday, but Kendricks was limited.

Kittle was limited for the 49ers on Friday, so there will likely be a decision on playing time on Sunday. Samuel returned to training earlier this week.

  • Giants😛 Jamie Gillan (left hamstring) CB Adoree' Jackson (neck) LB Ty Summers (ankle) OUT; CB Cor'Dale Flott (groin) doubtful; OT Jermaine Eluemunor (hip) CB Tre Hawkins III (ankle) QUESTIONABLE
  • Steelers: WR Roman Wilson (hamstring), LB Tyler Matakevich (hamstring), LB Nick Herbig (hamstring), C Zach Frazier (ankle), OT Dylan Cook (foot), RB Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) OUT; Justin Fields (hamstring injury) QUESTIONABLE

Pass rusher Brian Burns (groin/hamstring) was limited to Saturday's game and is not listed as injured, indicating he will play. Cornerback Adoree' Jackson (neck) was ruled out.

For the Steelers, center Zach Frazier (ankle), linebacker Nick Herbig (hamstring) and wide receiver Roman Wilson (hamstring) did not practice all week and were ruled out. Running back Najee Harris did not practice on Saturday, only receiving a day of rest and carrying no awards. Fields appeared too late in the list.
