Bedford County woman arrested for assaulting a police officer

A Bedford County woman is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a police officer over the weekend, authorities said.

Police say 29-year-old Tessa Fagley of Woodbury allegedly punched and bit a Windber officer outside a home on Bedford Street in Paint Borough on Saturday.

According to the affidavit, police said the assault occurred when officers responded to the scene for a reported domestic dispute in which Fagley had allegedly smashed a man's windshield.

Online court records show Fagley is charged with multiple felonies, including a felony count of aggravated assault.

She is being held in the Somerset County Jail on $5,000 bail.
