Monticello man charged with drug trafficking

MONTICELLO, Ky. (WYMT) – A Monticello man is facing drug trafficking charges.

A Wayne County Sheriff's Office officer stopped a truck Tuesday evening when he saw the driver not using a turn signal.

Police said when they contacted the driver, Terry Lowe of Monticello, he appeared to have placed something between himself and the seat of the truck.

When they asked Lowe to get out of the truck, officers said they found three bags of suspected meth in his pants.

Terry Lowe was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, no license plate and failure to signal or false signaling.

He was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center.
