Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office deputy arrested for bringing drugs into jail for inmates

CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA) – A correctional officer with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has been arrested.

Officials say Kevina Maxie is accused of bringing drug paraphernalia into the prison and selling it to inmates. She has been with the sheriff's office since March of this year.

OTHER CRIMES IN ARKLATEX

Maxie was arrested at the jail while working overtime on her day off, officials say. She is accused of abuse of office and taking contraband into or out of a prison. She was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
