Tony Rock complains about not appearing in brother Chris Rock's films

A resurfaced video of Tony Rock accusing Chris Rock of never casting him in his films is circulating online.

Tony, a comedian himself, spoke about his frustration The Green Room podcast earlier this year after comedian Aries Spears asked him why he never appeared in any of his brother's films.

This prompted Tony to make a statement about Chris' decisions. “I'll try to explain it to you. I'm not saying it makes sense, but my brother…he's a businessman when it comes to movies,” Tony said.

Tony later explained a situation that “crushed” him – when Chris cast him in the film Top 5 but never told him when the film was made. He later said he was called by others involved in the film and asked why he was “not on set.”

“After two months, I get a fucking call saying, ‘Yo, are you at the wrap party? We are here.' “That didn’t blow me away. “I’ve never seen the movie Top 5,” Tony continued.

Hearing this about Tony and Chris is surprising considering how Tony stood up for his brother after Will Smith slapped him at the 2022 Academy Awards. As he took the stage for a set, Tony suggested that he would slap Smith's ass if he had the chance.

“If you think you're going to walk on this stage, it's not the damn Oscars,” Tony said on stage. “And if you're walking around here with your ass, you're not nominated for shit, you're nominated for these damn hands! Oh, we'll be making pop music the rest of the year, ni**a. Every time you see me at a show, pop!”

Tony then apologized for starting the show with that energy – but he carried on anyway. “I didn’t want to start the show like that,” he added. “Are you going to hit my fucking brother because your bitch gave you a side eye?”

After walking across the stage, Tony explained, “Oh, it's a lot of rock brothers, you don't know, it's a lot of rock brothers.”
