Man charged with armed robbery of Richland County bank arrested

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – The Richland County Sheriff's Department (RCSD) has arrested a man charged with armed robbery of a bank.

The robbery occurred Oct. 15 at the First Citizens Bank on Parklane Road.

When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that a man identified as Willie Lee Moses II entered the bank and presented the teller with a handwritten note stating it was an armed robbery and demanding money .

Officials said Moses left the bank with money before officers arrived.

Officers identified Moses and issued a warrant for his arrest on a robbery charge.

He was arrested on Saturday, October 19, after officers responded to a disturbance on Zimalcrest Drive. Moses was identified as the suspect causing the disturbance and was taken into custody.

Moses was charged with entering a bank with intent to steal and was charged with possession of less than one gram of meth or cocaine base in connection with the Oct. 19 incident. He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
