Netflix has released the official trailer for the second and final season of Arcane.

According to Linke, ending the series was an obvious decision, as he says: “Honestly, it was pretty natural. We always thought of it as a special story. It wasn't just like, 'Hey, let's put a bunch of characters together and they'll kind of go where they go.' It was always like, 'No, there's a story we want to tell.'”

It was always like, “No, there’s a story we want to tell.”

Linke continues: “I think it was just the story we wanted to tell. I think we also just believe that knowing when to end, especially with television shows, is very important. I think for us it just made sense from a creative perspective.”

While Arcane may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean there won't be any more League of Legends animated content. Arcane is far from the last animated adaptation in the works. When Screen Rant asked if there would be more content in the future, Linke replied, “Absolutely.” Arcane is just the first. We're working on a number of new projects, a number of new stories from the different regions and characters of our intellectual property, and some of them are actually sequels to character stories Arcane. So there are definitely some character stories that we want to continue. So really, Arcane is the true first. This is the first rite that we had to survive and figure out, “Can we do this?” And now we can kind of dream bigger, which is really great.

This will finally be the end of Jinx's story. Ella Purnell will once again be available to play the title character. Other returning voices include Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Katie Leung (Caitlyn), Reed Shannon (Ekko), Amirah Vann (Sevika), Mick Wingert (Heimerdinger), Ellen Thomas (Ambessa) and Brett Tucker (Singed).
