Mics caught LeBron James' NSFW message to Rui Hachimura during the Lakers win

LeBron James played for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. The ageless wonder posted 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the 131-127 win, saving his best for last. With the Lakers trailing by seven points early in the fourth quarter, LeBron scored 16 points as part of a 21-0 run against Los Angeles, starting the frame that gave them the lead for good.

It also led to one of the better hot mic moments of James' illustrious NBA career. With seven and a half minutes left in the contest, a timeout was called and the cameras followed the superstar as he sat down on the bench. Then, as the broadcast cut to commercial, the microphones caught LeBron delivering a NSFW message to his teammate Rui Hachimura about his shot selection and the importance of the passing game.

“Rock the mother to me,” LeBron can be heard shouting. “I just did 10 in a row, you can do a pull-up where two are contested? Swing swing, motherf—–!”

Just before, the Lakers had a possession where Hachimura received the ball beyond the arc and could have hit it to James, who did his best Human Torch impression with his play. Instead, Hachimura dribbled to his right and hit a contested two-point jump shot from deep, which he missed.

In basketball, it's always important to feed the hot hand, and that's never more important than when that hand belongs to LeBron James. Once he's reached that level of shooting technique, it's best to just get out of the way and let him get to work, because even at 39 years old, LeBron is still very capable of outgunning anyone in front of him stands to be eliminated single-handedly.

Even though Hachimura didn't “swing” the ball, the Lakers emerged victorious and are 3-0 to start the year.
