Everything about Arceus and the creation myth of the Pokémon universe revealed

Game Freak's massive data leak has revealed an incredible amount of information about the main games in the game Pokémon Franchise. One of the most surprising revelations involves the mythical Pokémon Arceus, considered an all-powerful deity in the Pokémon universe. Recent posts circulating the internet have just revealed some never-before-seen information about the origins of Arceus, as well as the creation of the Pokémon universe itself.

The celebrity Pokémon The leaker on X (formerly Twitter) known as CentroLeaks has shared a bunch of new, previously unpublished content Pokémon Content since news of the leak first broke. They shared a long post detailing the origins of Arceuswhile also providing insight into the pasts of numerous iconic Legendary Pokémon and the role they played in the creation of the universe as it exists today. This is all really fascinating and could potentially be a hint for future game releases.

The origins of Arceus and the universe, explained

Arceus is behind the existence of everything

According to CentroLeaks' post, the Pokémon universe began as nothing more than a swirling “vortex of chaos,” and from that chaos emerged a unique egg. From this egg hatched a creature called “Aus”, also known as Arceus. The remaining fragments of Arceus' egg eventually transformed into fearsome “giants” that Arceus was able to defeat in a fierce battle before splitting into several beings called Ia and Ea, which became Dialga and Palkia, respectively.

Giratina was not created before the creation of the leaked document, so she is not mentioned anywhere in this creation myth.

These legendary Pokémon soon formed the Lake Guardian Trio consisting of Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, who created a planet. Dialga eventually created the creatures known as Pokémon, while Palkia created humans, who in turn were gifted a seed called the “Seed of Life.” The seed grew into a magnificent tree, but eventually it grew too large and began to flood the entire planet.

As a solution, Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza were created to destroy the tree so that all life on the planet could move freely. The fragments of the destroyed tree then formed the sea, the land and the sky, over which the weather trio each had their own control. This made the entire planet habitable for all of its inhabitants, allowing humans and Pokémon alike to thrive and eventually live together in harmony.

The meaning behind Arceus' mysterious seal

Players finally have answers to this decades-long mystery

Arceus Pokemon Heart Gold Soul Silver

In Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul SilverThere was a special event surrounding Arceus in the Ruins of Alph. TWhen Arceus is brought to this location, a huge, mysterious seal appears on the groundfollowed by a bizarre sequence of flashing images. Once everything is over, Cynthia will explain this to the player Arceus has the ability to create “newborn Pokémon.” and the player is rewarded with a level 1 Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina.

This seal has amazed and confused players for years, but recent leaks have finally provided further insight into its meaning. The diagram published by CentroLeaks reveals it Arceus, Dialga and Palkia in the middle as creators of the universewith Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza surrounding them as pillars of land, sea and sky. The rest of the diagram then shows the various connections to numerous other legendary and mythical Pokémon, including Ho-oh, Lugia, and Regigigas.

Interestingly, there are also numerous Pokémon in the diagram that are not legendary or mythical Pokémon. Some slightly more common Pokémon such as: Tyranitar, Metagross, and Dragonite are all present in the diagramalthough they are only considered “pseudo-legendaries”. Unfortunately, CentroLeaks' post doesn't mention why these Pokémon are listed, making their presence in the chart a lingering mystery.

Who the mysterious “giants” could be

There are numerous fearsome competitors for the giants of myth

Although the leak post doesn't explicitly state who these so-called “giants” were, there are numerous possibilities among the various other legendary Pokémon that currently exist. A very likely contender could be Eternatus Pokémon Sword and Shieldwho supposedly arrived in the Galar region by falling from space. With his immense and fearsome power, known to bring about the darkest day, an apocalypse-level disasterit would make sense if Arceus had fought it at some point in the past.

Another contender could be Necrozma Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moona creature known to also live in space. Although initially a benevolent ancient being, Necrozma eventually became malevolent as it ventured through various dimensions in ultraspace. With enough Power to absorb all the light from a single universeNecrozma would be an extremely powerful opponent for Arceus to fight.

A final possibility could be the original dragon, consisting of Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem. It was said that Kyurem crashed into Unova when it fell from space in a meteorite, suggesting that it came from the same place as the giants. Considering how powerful such a fusion of these three dragons could be, it would make sense to call the original dragon a giant.

What these leaks could mean for Pokémon Legends ZA

An opportunity for further insight into this creation myth

Although it's uncertain whether Arceus will even make an appearance Pokémon Legends ZAThis leak could provide a glimpse into the story that awaits players in the highly anticipated upcoming spin-off game. In particular, the fact that people were given a seed of life that gave rise to a huge tree is important Xerneas is the legendary Pokémon most associated with life-grantingand its resting form resembles a large tree. Given this information, this could suggest so Legends ZA could potentially hint at more information about Xerneas' role in the early years of the Pokémon universe.

With so much lore covered in numerous titles, it's shocking to get an in-depth look at the role of mythical and legendary Pokémon in the creation of the universe. Despite the unfortunate nature of these leaks, there is no denying that the information contained within them is extremely fascinating. Hopefully Game Freak will consider diving even deeper into this topic Pokémon Games are developed over the years.
