Record-breaking temperatures possible; The chance of rain returns by midweek

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – We will see increasing cloud cover this evening, and later tomorrow skies will eventually become mostly cloudy, with strong southerly winds around 15-20 mph and gusts reaching 35 mph at times.

With the strong southerly wind we will see some warmer temperatures over the next few days, possibly even record temperatures for Monday and Tuesday!

After our brief warm-up, there will be a cold front Tuesday night into Wednesday that will trigger some showers and thunderstorms. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday.

Temperatures will rise and fall over the next few days, and after Wednesday's rain we'll cool back down to around seasonal temperatures by Halloween!
