Honor, thank and celebrate our veterans at local events leading up to and on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2024.

Veterans Day 2024 Events

November 4, 2024 – Habitat for heroes – Partner with Habitat for Humanity to support local veteran and first responder families through the 7th Annual Habitat for Heroes Fundraiser to benefit the Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Veterans Build Program. Enjoy complimentary drinks and small bites at an elegant cocktail-style event. Guests are encouraged to dress in red, white and blue cocktail attire. The opportunity to “Honor Your Hero” and become part of the Friends of the Brave alliance gives you the opportunity to have even greater impact. November 9, 2024 – 22 for 22 Veterans Day Run – Join the Mighty Oaks Foundation for the 2nd^nd annual 22 for 22 Veterans Day Run, including 5K and 10K. Whether you are an experienced runner or a beginner, everyone is welcome to join. The nonprofit's mission is to come together as a community and shine a light on the veteran suicide epidemic to ensure no veteran has to fight alone. November 9, 2024 – 1^st Annual Woodforest Veterans Day Backpack/Walk – Join Woodforest on Saturday, November 9th for a weekend rumble/walk honoring veterans^Th The start takes place on the terrace of the Bierwald. Whether you wear a backpack, a weighted vest, or just show up as you are, this hike is casual and suitable for all fitness levels. Time: 9:00 am. November 11, 2024 – The Woodlands Township Veterans Day tribute – You are invited to the Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute, which will feature a presentation of colors, musical performances, remarks from local dignitaries, a village troop fundraising challenge and more. There will be an on-site care package drop-off location throughout the event to accept donations of recommended items to ship to the troops. November 11, 2024 – Veterans Day celebration at Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park – On Veterans Day, the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission will show its appreciation for our veterans with musical performances, guest speakers and the dedication of “THE LINE.” Covered parking and seating are available. Parking is located across the street at the Park & ​​Ride lot and overflow parking is located at 100 I-45 N, Conroe TX 77301. Time: 9:00 am.
