Weather in southeastern Wisconsin: Windy and record temperatures

A warm front moved through last night, causing temperatures to continue to rise during the night. You can feel the difference this morning as temperatures start in the 60s and even reach near 70 in some places. It won't be long before high temperatures today get close to a record high of 81 degrees. Right now we are predicting 80 in Milwaukee, but it will be close! Winds will be very strong from the southwest with gusts of around 40 miles per hour.

Tonight will be very warm and windy, with overnight lows in the 60s. We'll stay warm on Wednesday, with highs above 70 degrees and wind gusts around 40 miles per hour again. On Wednesday evening a cold front will move towards us and bring with it a chance of rain and storms. The best chance for strong to severe storms will be toward western Wisconsin. The storms will weaken as they move east across the state overnight.

Highs will be just after midnight on Thursday, then temperatures will drop for the rest of the day. We'll drop to 50° in the afternoon with a strong northwest breeze. Most of the rain will stop in the morning, so at least Halloween evening looks dry, cool and windy.
