Affidavit reveals details of murder of 7-Eleven employee Jaedynn Anthony

More details have been revealed about the tragic death of a young 7-Eleven clerk.

According to an affidavit, officers responded to the store on North Council Road around 2:45 a.m. Friday after receiving a call that the clerk was unresponsive and bleeding.

Upon arrival, officers found the clerk, 18-year-old Jaedynn Anthony, dead in the store. The crime scene was then secured and homicide detectives and CSI arrived to begin the investigation.

Investigators viewed surveillance video and learned that the suspect entered the store around 2:01 a.m. wearing open-toed slippers.

The affidavit said Jaedynn was the only other person in the store.

The video showed the suspect at the counter acting as if he was making a purchase.

After Jaedynn opened the register, the suspect brandished a knife. The affidavit states that after Jaedynn gave the suspect the money, he stabbed her once.

The suspect then took the money and left the store on foot around 2:05 a.m.

Surveillance video was released Monday to help identify the suspect.

The affidavit states that Crime Stoppers received two tips on Monday and Tuesday.

Tipsters told Crime Stoppers the suspect is Anthony Gonzalez. One of the tipsters reportedly gave his date of birth.

Based on the information provided, investigators went to Gonzalez's listed address on NW 84th Street. The affidavit said the home was 1.2 miles from the business.

Gonzalez was seen outside his home by at least two officers.

Officers also reported that Gonzalez was wearing the same slippers that the suspect was wearing in the video.

Gonzalez, 23, was arrested Tuesday evening by Oklahoma City police with assistance from the U.S. Marshal's Task Force.

He was charged with robbery and first-degree murder.
