Helicopter lands on I-80 after semi-accident in York County

YORK COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) – The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating a crash on Interstate 80 in York County Tuesday morning.

NSP said a tractor-trailer entered the median and collided with the guardrails near mile marker 358, west of the Waco exit.

Star Care was called in to transport the driver to Bryan West in Lincoln. I-80 was briefly closed to allow the helicopter to land.

One lane of eastbound I-80 was temporarily closed Tuesday while the scene of the accident was investigated.

The condition of the driver is currently unknown.
