Pensacola man arrested as officers seize meth, fentanyl, oxycodone and more

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 26-year-old Pensacola man was arrested on drug charges in Escambia County on Friday.

Markeal Sanders is accused of:

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of a modified firearm
  • Trafficking in methamphetamine
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to sell and/or deliver
  • Trade in oxycodone
  • Two counts of possession of a controlled substance

According to deputies, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit recently served a search warrant on the 3300 block of Roosevelt Street.

During the search, officers found three firearms, 1,052 grams of methamphetamine, 1,152 grams of marijuana, 20 grams of oxycodone, 22.5 grams of synthetic cannabinoids, 1.5 grams of fentanyl and over $39,000.
