Man charged with stabbing school principal waives extradition, returns to Ohio

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The man accused of stabbing South Point Elementary School principal Bill Christian decided to voluntarily return to Ohio to face his charges.

Joshua Collins waived extradition on Tuesday. Collins will now return to Lawrence County, Ohio, to face charges in connection with last Thursday's stabbing.

Joshua Collins was arraigned Friday in Cabell County Magistrate Court on one count of evasion from justice.

Collins was charged with this charge in Cabell County because he was being treated at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington for injuries sustained in the stabbing attack he was accused of at South Point Elementary in Lawrence County, Ohio.

Court records also show that Collins also faces stalking and threatening charges in Lawrence County. These charges were filed the day before the alleged stabbing on October 23rd.
