Man accused of killing 71-year-old relative at Denton County home – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A man is charged with murder after he allegedly killed his 71-year-old relative at his Denton County home.

According to Aubrey police, 24-year-old Adrian Padilla is charged with murder and tampering/tampering with evidence with intent to impair a human corpse in the death of 71-year-old Mary Jacinto.

On Monday, October 28, just before 8 p.m., police responded to a welfare issue at a home in the 11100 block of Canyon Oaks Street in Aubrey's Silverado Community

Authorities said family members told them Jacinto had not responded to their calls or text messages. When officers arrived at the home, no one opened the front door.

Aubrey police said officers then found Padilla in the backyard of the home. Padilla was arrested and officers subsequently found Jacinto's body in the backyard.

Padilla was taken into custody and booked into the Denton County Sheriff's Office Jail on his charges. The murder is still under investigation.
