A Manor High School student was reportedly stabbed and killed on campus

MANOR, Texas — A Manor High School student is dead after being stabbed by another student on campus, according to multiple Austin news outlets.

The stabbing happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 12700 block of Gregg Manor Road.

The campus was initially placed on lockdown, but administration canceled classes for Tuesday and Wednesday, FOX 7 Austin reported.

According to Manor police, 18-year-old Darrin Loving was stabbed in the chest. Firefighters attempted to save his life, but Loving later died from his injuries, police said.

According to police, 18-year-old Mac Brown Mbah Mbanwei was arrested shortly after the stabbing.

Police later said Mbanwei had been arrested and charged with murder. He was booked into the Travis County Jail.

Manor police and Manor Independent School District police are investigating the incident.

Manor is located approximately 15 miles northeast of Austin.
