New poll shows where Michigan voters stand on the U.S. Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers

With a week to go before Election Day, we have an updated poll showing where Michigan voters stand in the U.S. Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers.

According to our poll of voters Oct. 22-24, Slotkin has a 3.7% lead over Rogers – 46.2% to 42.5%.

6.7% of voters remain undecided and 4.7% of voters have chosen a third party candidate.

These results are similar to the poll in early October, which had Slotkin leading with 3.5% (46.8%-43.3%).

Slotkin has a narrow lead of 2.9% (39.2%-36.3%) among independent voters.

Among Harris voters, 88.7% voted for Slotkin. Rogers has 83.2% of Trump voters.

Slotkin leads the women with 20.9% (54.2% – 33.3%), while Rogers leads the men with 15.3% (52.6% – 37.3%).

Among college voters, Slotkin leads by 13.2% (52.4%-39.2%). Rogers leads non-college voters by 2.9% (45-2%-42.3%).

Notably, Slotkin leads in union households by 11.9% – 49.4%-37.5%. Rogers leads non-union households 44.6% to 43.3%.

Survey methodology

This poll was commissioned by WDIV Local 4 News and the Detroit News. Glengariff Group, Inc. conducted the nationwide survey and included likely voters for the general election.

From October 22nd to 24th, 2024, 600 people were interviewed by telephone. This survey has a margin of error of +/- 4%, with a confidence level of 95%.

Of the respondents, 83.2% were contacted via cell phone and 16.8% were contacted via landline telephone.
