Arnold Schwarzenegger supports Kamala Harris: Trump would “stay full of bulls for four more years”

Arnold Schwarzenegger may “hate politics more than ever” and “doesn't really support it,” but in a possible second Donald Trump presidency, the former Republican “governor” is in favor of the Democrats.

In a message sent to X, Schwarzenegger said he would cast his vote for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz this week. He warned that another Trump presidency would mean “four more years of nonsense with no results, making us increasingly angry, divided and hateful.”

“We must close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know former President Trump will not do that,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “He will divide, he will offend, he will find new ways to be even more un-American than he already was, and we the people will get nothing but more anger.”

“I want to move forward as a country, and while I have many disagreements with their platform, I think that is only possible with Harris and Walz,” he continued. “Vote this week. Turn the page and leave this garbage behind.”

Schwarzenegger's message emphasized his belief in bipartisanship and effective policymaking, calling it crucial in today's polarized climate. “To win your next election, you must work with the other side and not offend them,” he noted.

One of Schwarzenegger's biggest motivations for supporting Harris and Walz was his strong stance against election denial. The Terminator Star said rejecting legitimate election results was “as un-American as it gets.”

“But a candidate who doesn't respect your vote unless it's for him, a candidate who sends his supporters to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Diet Coke, a candidate who has shown no ability “To work on passing anything else.” a tax cut that helped his donors and other rich people like me but no one else, a candidate who believes Americans who disagree with him are bigger enemies than China “, Russia or North Korea – that will not solve our problems,” Schwarzenegger wrote.

The endorsement marks a major shift for the entrepreneur and former GOP governor, who has not officially endorsed the 2020 race despite his open criticism of the former president.

Trump and Schwarzenegger have a complicated relationship. Schwarzenegger took over The Celebrity Apprentice by Trump in 2017, during which time the series saw a decline in viewership. Trump blamed Schwarzenegger for the ratings, but Schwarzenegger blamed Trump's polarizing politics and an already declining viewership for the show's decline.

He finally left the show a year later, accusing Trump of bringing “baggage” with him as an executive producer.

“I enjoyed every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett. Everyone – from the celebrities to the crew to the marketing department – was a straight 10, and I would definitely work with all of them again on a show that doesn't have that baggage,” Schwarzenegger said in a 2018 statement.
Schwarzenegger did not vote for Trump in 2016, announcing that it was the first time he had not voted for the Republican presidential candidate since becoming an American citizen.
