The Los Angeles Dodgers secured Game 1 of the World Series with a 6-3 victory on Friday, thanks to Freddie Freeman's historic walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning – the first of its kind in World Series history.

Dodgers fans were overjoyed to witness Freeman make MLB history by becoming the first player to hit a walk-off grand slam in a World Series game, including the Lakers legend Magic Johnson.

“Freddie Freeman got us off to a 1-0 start with the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history! Wow!!” Johnson explained. “That was one of the most exciting World Series games I've ever seen or been a part of! It left me breathless, and it was only Game 1!”

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts shared the excitement, telling reporters after the game, “It might be the greatest baseball moment I've ever experienced.” Just that momentum, you knew it was gone. Pure exhilaration. You don’t see teams celebrating after a game with a walk-off like that, but it was definitely justified.”
