On Sunday, August 1, 2021, Providence Police responded to reports of a shooting on Olney Street.

At the scene, emergency responders transported the victim, 24-year-old Miya Brophy-Baermann, to Rhode Island Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Days after the shooting, recovered surveillance footage showed Miya and Sheron being shot at from a dark sedan.

During the investigation, investigators located a fragmented bullet from the victim's vehicle, two 9mm shell casings on the road, phone location data, DNA and ballistics evidence.

On December 12, 2021, Providence police discovered a ghost gun in a car during a traffic stop that may have matched the weapon used in the shooting.

After confirmed analysis, it was found that the spent cartridge cases collected from the crime scene had been fired from the recovered ghost gun.

Mann is awaiting his sentencing hearing at the Adult Correctional Facility, where he is being held without bail.
