Officers are searching for one of two suspects in Martinez accused of getting into cars

MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Officers have arrested a suspect and are searching for another suspect in connection with the multiple car break-ins Thursday morning, according to Maj. Steve Morris.

Columbia County officials said they were searching for suspect Aaron Kentrell Edmonds around 7 a.m. in the area of ​​Petersburg Station, The Pass and Cedar Rock Drive

Edmonds is described by authorities as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

It is connected to several cars arriving. According to authorities, the person fled on foot when he attempted to make contact.

Morris told us: “Our Real Time Crime Center received an LPR alert early Thursday morning and located the vehicle. Suspects fled, one in custody.”

The perimeter was still created around the Petersburg Station neighborhood, including Stagecoach Way and Calico Circle, as well as other neighborhoods along the pass.
