Child in critical condition after violent crash on Newburg Road

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A child is in critical condition after an early morning accident in Newburg.

Louisville Metro Police officers were called to a collision at Newburg Road and East Indian Trail just before 5:40 a.m. on Thursday, October 31st.

A southbound car reportedly caught fire after hitting another car. Louisville Metro Police said a child was rescued from the burning car and rushed to Norton Children's Hospital.

The LMPD Traffic Unit is currently investigating this accident.
