Police are searching for the perpetrators who beat a couple in a hate crime in Brooklyn last week

Police are searching for a group of suspects who allegedly made anti-Palestinian comments to a couple walking on a street Street last week in Brooklyn.

According to law enforcement officials, just before midnight on Friday, October 25, a 31-year-old man and a 32 year old woman were on Flatbush Avenue Extension between Tech Place and Myrtle while arguing with a group of strangers.

It's unclear what led to the verbal argument, but things quickly escalated as the group of strangers made anti-Palestinian comments and blurted out phrases like “F–Palestine.”

The fight intensified when at least one of the suspects punched both victims multiple times in the face.

The suspects fled from police officers in an unknown direction 84th District arrived after responding to a 911 call about the incident.

The woman suffered serious physical injuries to one eye, while the man suffered a laceration to his face as a result attack. EMS transported both victims to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Police released surveillance photos and footage on Wednesday, October 30, of the suspects, who remain at large.

There have been no arrests so far been madebut the NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating, police said.
